CARES Act - HEERF I

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 were passed on March 27, 2020 by Congress and the president. The bill allotted $2.2 trillion to provide fast and direct economic aid to the American people negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Of that money, approximately $14 billion was given to the Office of Postsecondary Education as the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, or HEERF. Of that total, KCU was allocated:

  • Section 18004 (a)(1) – Student portion:  $204,700
  • Section 18004 (a) (2) – Institutional Portion:  $204,699
  • Section 18004 (a) (3) – Supplemental Institutional Amount: $90,601

Institutional

Quarterly reports of the usage of Institutional funds allocated through both Sections 18004 (a) (2) and 18004 (a) (3).


CRRSAA - HEERF II

The Federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA Act), 2021, has allocated emergency financial aid grants called the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) II. 


ARP - HEERF III

The American Rescue Plan, 2021, has allocated emergency financial aid grants called the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III).
