As we continue to monitor the news surrounding the violence in Las Vegas, I extend our University’s deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their lives, and wish healing and recovery to the many who were wounded, both physically and emotionally.
We stand with the Las Vegas community in thought and prayer and applaud the heroism of the Las Vegas police. We take heart from the stories of those who helped each other on the scene — the everyday people who risked their own lives evacuating victims. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the medical community for the work they are doing to save lives.
Difficult days like this prompt us to stop and reflect on the things we truly value. Please know, KCU values the many lives that have been impacted by this senseless act of violence. We wish continued strength to all of the physicians, nurses and other health professionals as they help countless people recover and move forward.
