Kansas City University (KCU) faculty member Bryan G. Beutel, MD, FAAOS, has joined the medical practice of Sano Orthopedics.
Beutel came to Kanas City from Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined the KCU faculty in September of 2022 as an assistant professor of Primary Care.
A hand surgery specialist, Beutel will focus his medical practice on musculoskeletal injuries and conditions of the hand and wrist, including acute and chronic hand and wrist pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, and Dupuytren’s contracture, among others.
Beutel will integrate his clinical practice with his faculty appointment at KCU, where he is the co-course director of the Surgical Skills Honors Track and co-course director of the Military Medicine Honors Track in addition to his teaching responsibilities.

Beutel will practice alongside the patient-focused and innovative team at Sano Orthopedics offering a comprehensive range of specialized orthopedic services including needle arthroscopy, regenerative medicine, joint replacement, and in-office carpal tunnel surgery. The surgical team includes several KCU alumni who precept KCU students in orthopedic medicine clerkships.

Beutel has participated in numerous orthopedic research studies (these can be viewed by clicking here) that have appeared in peer-reviewed publications. His work aligns well with Sano’s impactful and award-winning international research on knee and shoulder injuries.
Beutel graduated from Cornell University with magna cum laude honors. He received his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

d with many awards such as a “Top Doctor” in Hand Surgery by Cincinnati Magazine, a research award by the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Senior Resident Clinical Science Research Award from the NYU Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
