KCU is committed to providing students with high-quality clinical experiences. Throughout our history, strong and valued partnerships have been established with highly regarded physicians, hospitals, and clinic systems all across the nation. A Core Site is an established educational partnership between KCU and a Hospital(s) and/or Hospital System(s) in a specific geographic location to which students are assigned during the third year only.

In year two, students will participate in a Core Site Match process that determines the Core Site location to which students are assigned for the entire third year. Following the Core Site Match, students will be scheduled by their Core Site in required core clerkships following accreditation standards. In the fourth year, students have flexibility in scheduling, as they develop and apply to clerkships at programs at programs based on the student's specialty of interest.
